That first trip to Auntie Barber

After two and a half years of cutting Ally's hair ourselves, Mark and I decided to make a trip down to the kiddy barber , "Junior League" at Parkway Parade. Just to see if they could do any better.

Ally was also ready now, having been taught the Mister Barber jingle .. You know

Mister Barber cut my hair
while I sit on your big chair
Snip a little here,
Snip a little there
Mister Barber cut my hair.

She's also been allowed to practise cutting her own and other people's hair with a toy scissors. It took a few months to get her used to her hair. Before she would squeal in horror whenever it fell. So, is it any wonder that at the kiddy barber, their first question is, " Is she scared of hair?"

Here she is getting ready. I felt very tickled by how small she looked when the pink cloak was placed over her.

And admiring herself, while also being entertained by Barney on the tv screen in front of her ( yup, this place really knows how to make the experience less of an ordeal)

Look at her fascinated face...

And here's the finished product.

We told the hairdresser not to cut the hair too short, and for the fringe not to be spastic. So, I must say it was a job well done for $16. Will be back again.
