Ally in Bintan

We all went to Bintan over the weekend. And I mean all. There were 6 of us- Ally, Mark, Myself, my in-laws and my maid. We asked my in-laws to come along to help out with the baby so Mark and I could relax. And they wanted my maid to come along so they could relax. Hmmm.

Anyway, it was a whale of a time for Ally with five adults doting on her. Funny how all of us can just sit around staring at her doing whatever she is doing! Happens with the youngest one around usually. I remember my little sis, who is 13 years younger than me, complaining ( once she was old enough) and asking us to quit watching her every move. Haha.

So, here's Ally on the ferry to Bintan. Finally, she gets to sit on a boat and obviously she wants to run around. She spends a good part of the trip dancing and balancing herself as the boat rocked.

We got ourselves a suite at Angsana with a kitchenette and garden with a jacuzzi. So, it was pretty nice. The beach and swimming pool were just in front of the suite.

But Ally was terrified of the sea and the sand!

Look at her legs all curled up, clinging on to daddy for her dear life

She only smiled when she was safe on Ah Gong's stomach, playing "Dugut Dugut" (the sound she makes for riding a horse)

So I think the best times were spent in the jacuzzi in our suite - she even preferred bathing here. The normal bath tub had her wailing away in terror.

And she loved running around in the garden , wearing the flowers we plucked from there too.

Angsana has a lovely pool but it took a long time for her to warm up to it. So, here she is finally enjoying herself.

Oh, and we went to an elephant show. Not bad! These huge animals can dance, play football, shoot balls into the basketball net and much more.

But don't be fooled by Ally's exhilarated face here.. it's for the dancing by (humans ) that took place before the elephants came out.

When the elephants appeared, Ally didn't seem interested (IMAGINE!) and spent the time climbing around the wooden benches. We finally concluded that she was scared of them so she refused to pay attention or look at them.

This is the best shot we have of her with the elephant- she's not smiling, she's actually crying!

My maid Delia probably enjoyed herself the most with the elephants.
