Alison eats just about anything. It's something I always took for granted and was never particularly grateful for. That's till I noticed how some of my friend's babies have been eating.
My brother's baby Rachel will only eat like 4 to 5 mouthfuls of her porridge before losing interest. So, they end up spending the whole day feeding her little bits of food, in a bid to ensure she gets her sustenance. Bread, buns, gerber biscuits, baby bites etc etc. And they also carry her porridge around for the moment opportunity strikes, they whip out a few spoonfuls again of her unfinished lunch or dinner. My other friend's daughter Miri is exactly the same.
THIS is how much Alison usually eats each meal, WHATEVER it is we cook for her. It looks like a lot right? Well, it is. But she will very obediently sit in her high chair and be fed the entire bowl. Even if she is complaining a little, her mouth will keep on opening and before you know it, she's finished the whole bowl. I still marvel at that! Even I don't eat that much sometimes.
Mark says she eats like a robot actually, ahahah, especially when you think of the consistency with which she opens her mouth to be fed. My mother in law commented," I think she does not know what is the meaning of being 'full'."( Now that is a first for my Mother -in-law as she likes to make sure people are very very full!) You should see Alison after each meal... Her stomach will be sticking out and somehow, she feels extra heavy! Hahahah. But if it's not finished, she will actually complain and insist that we give her another mouthful. This is one kiddo we never need to tell the " Finish your food. The Ethiopians are starving" story! She seems to know it already.
So anyway, the lucky thing is she is NOT fat. Must have inherited her parent'spetite genes. Plus, she is so active she actualy looks quite toned. hah, or so I think lah.
Only gripe I have perhaps is how she prefers her food smooth and soft. Many babies her age have progressed to more textured food. Ah well, but I suppose she'll get to that eventually.

sleeping: izzit?!?! now he's down to like just one nap a day. if we are lucky, it's abt 3 hours long. if not, 1+. and whenever i ask him now if he wants to sleep, he very firmly says NO. and then when i drag him upstairs and shut the door, he bawls.
