Alison and Angie are like fire and ice- as different as can be.
One has long hair. The other- short wispy hair that frequently looks like a toupe.(the top part seems to not belong to the bottom part!)
One has small chicklet teeth. The other big bugs bunny teeth.
One is very active. The other likes to laze around.
One is gentle and mild. The other is a real samseng, who has been labelled a "chilli padi" in school.
This little samseng of Angeline has seriously evolved from her days as a quiet little baby. She has always had extremely good sleeping habits, so she is rarely in a bad mood and is always very quiet and well behaved.
Until she hit about 1.5 years and started talking more... the true Angeline has emerged.
Some people say it's the second child syndrome. Angie is very bold. She fights to get what she wants and often wins! She is more often than not bullying her elder sister, who is mild and seldom retaliates.
She is also a charmer, who will present her sweetest face and smile to the person she knows will succumb to her affections.
She still sleeps well. Pardon me for boasting about this yet again!! Perhaps she is one who naturally likes to sleep. But coupled with the great sleep routine and training, this angel just needs a few taps at night, one or two songs and she waves us off to settle down for the night. She sings a couple more songs to herself after we leave her and is usually sound asleep in 15mins tops. The true test for whether all our sleep training works will be with our third child (if we do manage to have one.)
Angie turns two at the end of the month. I can't imagine life without this spunky little thing. And of sweet sweet Alison, who has been saying she loves me forever ( in Mandarin, her new favourite language). I'm sure there are many moms out there who are feeling all warm and fuzzy thinking about their kids too. Cherish them!Happy Mother's Day!
