Filipino Style

Clothes are a tricky thing to give to people. It's very personal. For kids, it is less difficult but still tricky. I am pretty particular about what I like my kids to be dressed in. It has to suit their skin tone, and not be tacky, or cheapo looking or cheena looking! And I have my own rules for that.

Days that you see the kids dressed "out of sorts" in unmatching clothes or sloppy outfits, I took an off day and let them dress themselves in their favourite colour, or somebody else dressed them. Two of those times occurred with this (I was sick) - look how happy my maid is at her creations:

and this.

Both outfits were bought by my maid Delia. She's very sensitive so there was no way I could show any sign of distaste or give the clothes away like you can with someone you hardly see. The leopard tankini actually turned out "not so bad" on Ally - probably her tanned skin helped. Our jaws dropped when we first saw the seductive piece of a swimsuit and we were wondering how how how...

* No offence to anyone if you dress your kids this way... personal taste.:)

Ally looks very cheetah girl in the two piece! It's priceless! A photo you should keep and use to embarrass her with during her wedding.

Fashion very important, but cannot go overboard. My sister-in-law bought platform shoes for her 6 year old to match hers and they're about 2 inches high!!! I cringe everytime the girl takes off at top speed in them cos they don't look very stable. Very very pretty, but not stable at all.
