Yesterday, I thought I was going to die.
An Indian guy driving a Mercedes smashed head on into the right side of my car. I had the right of way on the main lane and he was turning right. It was a crowded morning at 845 am and this guy did not even stop to look for traffic before turning. I was right in front of hm and he still turned!!
I tell you, as I caught sight of this white car coming staright at me from the corner of my eye, I froze and thought this was it. I can't get out of the way in time. Ally, Rachel and Susan were in the backseat, eyes wide open!!
Bang! There was a loud crash and crushing sound of metal and my car was pushed to the side of the road.
Amazingly! Miraculously! Nobody was injured! I could not be more thankful when I turned around after the crash only to see three shocked faces behind, and Alison starting to tear.
The Indian guy was very distraught and apologised profusely, saying he was in a rush and did not see. I merely said to him, " My children were in there, why didn't you look where you were going!" and left it as that since he was all sorry. I would probably have killed him if anyone was hurt.
The car is badly dented on the driver's side - we need to change the two doors, the rear wheel and some internal structure linking the doors.
According to Mark, it's lucky that I I was driving my dad's BMW which is solid and steady. If it were a Japanese car, we would most prob be injured.
Scary - This was totally unpredictable.
