And it's not Angie this time but Ally!
After that torturous cry it out method that we used when she was 7 months, we now have a new problem on our hands as she turns two years.
As I am writing this, Mark is putting her back to bed for what 10th, 11, 12, 13, 14.... time and still counting. Experts call it the Jack in the Box syndrome. Yes, she just hops out of bed time after time after time.
Yes, those horrible kids you saw on super nanny who keep on coming out from their bed to find their parents.. that's ALLY now
(I can hear her crying furiously now) as the father uts her back in bed for the 15, 16, 17, 18 , 19th time.
Dr Weisbluth says you have to avoid eye contact and be totally silent as we put her back in bed. There should no communication or attention as that is what she wants.
It's going to be a long night. We saw the signs coming and have tried to nip it in the bud. Delia our maid who sleeps with told us Ally keeps waking up in the middle of the night, climbing out of her bed onto Delia's bed and trying to get her attention.
We've briefed Delia on the silent treatment method but we don't know if she is seriously doing it. Even a faint smile will keep Ally waking up and continuing to talk about the rabbits and carrots.
(Oops. now the plan has failed ... the maid has picked her up. Mark says let Delia learn the consequences)
