Rejection

Ever since Ally started pre-school 2 weeks ago, she's been talking about one particular boy in her school.

Robert.

He's a Caucasian. German, to be precise. And Ally likes looking at him and hanging around him.

We thought it was pretty cute and used to remind her about him whenever she refused to go to school.

Till today.

My mother-in-law related to me this particular incident. The teachers teased Ally and asked who she likes. Dear sweet Ally pointed to Robert.

And you know what that Robert said?

"I like OTHER chinese people!"

Poor Ally. Don't know whether she understood what that statement meant. But when I heard it, I felt so protective of her.

How can anybody not like my Ally? Look at her! Trim, tan and pretty. :)



Hahah. Anyway, she has no recollection of the incident. So that's good.
