Just got back from doctors and everything seems to be going well. I truely believe I am going to have that short, smooth, easy birth I hope for.
Doctor says baby's head is ENGAGED! yay yay. Also, Angie's in the perfect position for an easy birth. It's called Left Occiput Anterior, where the back of the baby's head points towards the mother's front and the baby's back is slightly to the left on the mother's side.
Basically, she's in the position where they'll be the most space for her to just ease herself downwards and out. So, no long backache labours for me. I am so relieved!
Doctor's parting words today were: Ok, see you next Monday, but most probably earlier lah. Finally, a sign that I should give birth soon.
Mark and I predict 1 June, this thursday. We've been talking to Angie and prompting her to make her entry then too. Hahah.
I want her out sooner too as the longer wait has given me STRETCHMARKS. Arrgh, yes, I have stretchmarks radiating out from my belly button. Unmistakable. Was very upset when I first saw them a few days ago but have resigned myself to seeing them as a mom's "badge of honour"
