Yesterday, a customer's plight again made me realise how precious every child is and how it is truely a miracle when a child is born. A gift from God that should be cherished with all your heart.
A friend had helped her to return her clothes to the store. I asked the usual "how is she?" question and the friend replied that she had given birth. Naturally, I said , oh that's good, send my congrats etc. Until the friend said, "No, she lost the baby. They just couldn't detect the heartbeat"
I was stunned and filled with sadness for my customer. Such a nice cheerful customer and to lose the baby at such a late stage must be so so hard to bear. I can't even imagine the grief that she must be feeling. She's actually due around the same time as me.
So, may we all keep this customer in our thoughts and prayers. And I for one, am fiercely thankful for the gift of two children that God has given to me and Mark.
