We call Ally Ah Boo Boo.. So the second baby , we've decided to affectionately call Doo Doo. Nobody mock us please..:)
Anyway, it is now the 12th week of my pregnancy... and the horrible nausea is getting slightly better. May be psychological since I am at the end of my first trimester and most say that's when the nausea gets better. So yay, I hope I can really enjoy my pregnancy soon! I've lost weight in the first trimester already.. which shows how little I have been eating.
But miraculously, Little Doo Doo has grown to 5cm now. "It" is really fully formed now with toes and fingers and everything. I am still amazed each time I see the baby on the ultrasound. Doo Doo was in a "praying" position today at my checkup, maybe we'll get a holy one.
And the Doc thinks it is a girl now. Why? Because by now, the gender organs would have developed and there's no trace of a little dickie on Doo Doo.. I shan't believe anything till my 20 week detailed scan. From track record, Dr Soong almost always guesses wrong. Alison was a boy in her eyes.. Hahaha. So, if she says girl, probably boy ah! We'll see.
Anyway, all I can feel today is relief. Little nervous since I just came back from a long plane ride to New York ( 181/2 hours!- nobody should be made to endure that!) and everyone had these concerns about travelling in the first trimester. But I had to go for work and so I went- nausea, progesterone jabs and progesterone pills and all.
And as always before the scan, there is that slight apprehension and fear that there is no heartbeat.. actually I won't rest easy till I deliver a healthy baby.. But then if you think about it, after the kid is born, you still need to ensure he/she's well taken care of the rest of their life. So maybe, I should take things easy lah.
