Ally's one year bash

I remember my friend Shermaine saying while organising her son's one year bash, "I thought I should invite his friends, it's David's party after all." And I totally agreed.

So this time round,I invited only the immediate family members and very very close relatives, only two of my friends and the rest Ally's friends and their parents of course.

I also wanted a more relaxing time... you know no more wedding like guests lists.. But I did make the effort to make it party- like. So Ally has a real nice hat that says "I'm one!"

Ta Dah!

The other babies had hats to wear too but that was a big flop. Only Miri (on far left) is wearing hers, the rest keep on crying when they put it on.

So, the hats have been kept aside for the next baby party (Rachel's !). Although, the lesson of the day is baby parties DON'T NEED party hats. My party pack was quite well received (I think... haha) with timeout, kitkat, crunch, toblerone, baby bites, sea creature gummis, balloons, balloon blowing thing and gerber baby teething rusks. All bought by Mark, the sweet father who spent a bomb at the party shop in Centrepoint. Here's the balloons she received the minute she woke up at 645am.(Yup, the sky IS still dark- that's how early she wakes up everyday)

Anyway, we had kind of like a baby convention (as Auntie Monica put it). I was very impressed by ther turnout of SEVEN babies, considering how unpredictable babies are.

Here are more of them as they play in the tatami room in my dad's place, the only baby safe place in Mayfield Avuenue.

And here are the group photos while cutting the birthday cake!

Hilarious isn't it, they're all so distracted! These are my best shots some more.. Hahaha.

Actually, some were already starting to get cranky, some having missed their afternoon naps, so the cake was cut early even.

Anyway, in case you're wondering, here's a close up of Ally's cake. It's a No. 1 shaped airplane runway, with little aeroplanes. Yah, my little Ally loves aeroplanes (very tomboy). Not cheap these custom made cakes, this one costs $140 for anyone who's interested.

Yah lah, if only you guys could have come! Alex and Day would have been the oldest there though and the only two walking. Evie, is Alex better now? and sher, yah man, I think Day would have liked his hat! I had grand plans to take a group shot with all the kids wearing hats. Hahah, in my dreams.
