Alexandra Turns One!

Seems like only yesterday when my friend Evelyn announced that she was going to be a mummy! But her baby Alexandra is now one!

Everything seems to have happened so fast. She was the first among my close friends to announce she was getting married and the first to have a baby. (Coincidentally, both of us met our husbands at a church play called Noah's Ark and they are both called Mark!.. anyone need help finding a mate? I'll let you know when the next play comes up.)

Anyway, Alex's birthday was celebrated in true style. There's the beautiful suji birthday cake.



Living up to her reputation for detail, Mummy Evelyn had everything coordinated , down to her guests who had been instructed to wear pink! Amazing how even all the guys had pink shirts to wear.



(Anyway, YES, Ally is NOT in pink because the mother didn't know. And while I took the blame at the party, I now retract that. It's not my fault! My card really didn't say anything about pink! Hee.)

So, moving on.. Here's Daddy Mark revealing the results and answers to the birthday quiz. We were made to arrange the photos in chronological order and guess what Alex could do. For those who weren't there, Alex can now walk, feed herself a biscuit, point to a dog. blow a flying kiss and do some other stuff which I can't remember. But I must say she is very clever!



And well, heheh, it was a draw between Alison and some other very clever auntie! The present was chocolate, though I'm sure Ally would have liked a certain blue swimming float! ( *hint hint*)

Well, nobody said it's easy to take baby photos.. look at me and Eve here , having to shift our bodies so the babies face the right direction!



Oh, if you're wondering where the rest of the VJ group are. Well, Glen came at 2.20pm, thinking the party was at 2.30 instead of 1230. And Cat and Shem thought it was at 730pm, they managed to rush down by 3 after receiving an SMS from Mawar in BANGKOK asking them if they were at the party. So much for a detailed invite! Baby parties are best at 1230 lah because it's in-between the morning nap and the afternoon nap, so babies are the most alert then!
